Scott Cleaners has been providing the Oklahoma City area with dry cleaning and other laundry services for over 45 years. Now, Scott Cleaners offers drapery / curtain cleaning service.

Drapery Cleaning

What Is Included in Drapery Cleaning?

Scott Cleaners will first remove spots and stains from your drapery /curtains. Next, Scott Cleaners will dry clean your draperies. If you would like further services to be done to your draperies, like pressing for pleats or anything else, please let us know when you contact us for your drapery cleaning.

Why Should I Use Drapery Cleaning?

Whether you are spring cleaning, moving, or just pulling some drapes out of storage, drapery / curtain cleaning is a great service Scott Cleaners offers to help you keep your home happy and clean. When it comes to draperies, dry cleaning is a good solution, as it keeps your draperies in tact. You won’t have to worry about your draperies shrinking or fading.

We do not recommend that you wash your drapes at home (check the laundry care instructions). Neither do we recommend that you use our drapery cleaning service often (once a week). We do recommend that you use drapery cleaning regularly (once per quarter) so you can extend the life of your draperies. You can read more about drapery lifespans below.

How Long Should My Draperies Last?

Experts tell us that your draperies should last three years if they are unlined draperies and five years if they are lined draperies. There are several things you can do to extend the life expectancy, however.

Dryclean draperies regularly (once per quarter), but not often (once a week), to keep soil and grease from damaging fabrics. Rotate draperies, if possible, so that exposure to intense sunlight is varied. Guard carefully against water damage from open windows. Water rings develop and are almost impossible to remove, unless the fabric can be wet cleaned. This is usually not the case.

Wedding Gown Cleaning & Preservation

At Scott Cleaners, we know your wedding is a special occasion. You’ll have photos to last for generations. When it comes to cleaning and preserving your wedding gown for generations to come, you can trust that Scott Cleaners will take good care in cleaning and preserving your wedding gown.

What Is Included in Wedding Gown Cleaning?

First, any stains or dirt your dress has collected after an exciting and memorable night of celebration are removed. It’s a good idea to have your dress cleaned as soon as possible after the wedding to keep stains from setting permanently.

What Is Wedding Gown Preservation?

Wedding gown preservation is a special cleaning and packaging technique designed to maintain your wedding dress’s beauty for years to come. After cleaning, the gown is wrapped and placed in an acid-free or pH-neutral box with a viewing window.

Once your dress has been properly preserved, keep the box stored in a place that is dry and not too hot to avoid potentially damaging environments. You can trust that Scott Cleaners will provide a professionally preserved wedding dress that you can treasure for years and generations to come.

Comforter Cleaning / Bedspread Cleaning

    Comforter Cleaning + Bedspread Cleaning

Scott Cleaners has been providing dry cleaning and laundry services to the Oklahoma City area for over 45 years. Now, Scott Cleaners offers comforter cleaning, bedspread cleaning and pillow cleaning.

About Comforter Cleaning & Bedspread Cleaning

It is important to read the laundry care instructions label on your comforter, bedspread or duvet cover. If you need help with laundry care instruction labels, please visit that post by clicking here.

It is true that some comforters and bedspreads can be machine washed, but you will notice a quality difference. It is likely that by washing your comforter or bedspread in the washer, it will lose its form, shape and texture. This occurs because of the harsh treatment at-home washers and/or dryers give to fabric upon entering the spin cycle.

Also, please remember that although your comforter or bedspread can be machine washed, it is possible that your washer does not have the capacity to wash it. If you have to stuff your comforter or bedspread into the washing machine, you may end up having to repair your home washer.

Trust that through its dry cleaning processes, Scott Cleaners will clean your comforter, bedspread or duvet cover while preserving its shape, form and texture.

Concerns

Stain removal- we cannot guarantee.
Tailoring- pinning & measuring.
Drapes-sun damage and risk.
Comforters- batting issues & cleaning all matching pieces at once.

About Pillow Cleaning

Scott Cleaners understands your need for a clean bedroom. Often we hear commercials on television mention the importance of buying a new mattress every 10 years because it doubles in weight due to skin cells, sweat and more. Scott Cleaners wants to help you keep your bedroom cleaner, and an important part of that is pillow cleaning.

As pillows could be filled with foam, down feathers or other materials, our cleaning process may vary slightly between materials. You can trust that our pillow cleaning service will not alter the state of your pillow. It will remain as firm or as soft as you like it, but it will be clean.

Is Pillow Cleaning the Best Option?

At Scott Cleaners, we also believe in honest service. Although we would love to clean your pillows, some pillows may not be worth cleaning and must be replaced. Here’s the “pillow test.” Fold your pillow in half and if it won’t bounce back, get rid of it.
